Jim Vinnell (President)

My expertise in this industry first started in 1965 while working at Anaconda Mines, Britannia Beach, B.C. as an Engineering Clerk. Later, I became the Head Research Technician at Anaconda's New Geological Laboratory. During the next seven years, I trained not only as a Laboratory Technician, but as a Geological Field Assistant as well. In 1972. I incorporated this training and background into what is now the highly successful Vancouver Petrographics Ltd Company. In the years since incorporating, the company has developed techniques in the preparation of sections of unusual materials such as soluble minerals, soil, clay, fossils, archaeological artifacts and kimberlites. Vancouver Petrographics has expanded staff to three full-time technicians, 2 part time technicians and 2 office staff, and is associated with four contract petrographers. Let me introduce you to these highly qualified personnel.
